Join Strike Ready Summer!

The Strike Ready Corps' Summer Cohort is a summer series of trainings and hands-on virtual practice labs for those who are worried about what's going on in our country and serious about taking the next step.

Cohort members will attend trainings on key organizing tools and tactics, get coaching and organizing support, and plug into a committed community of everyday people preparing to strike. Some topics covered in cohort trainings include:

Mapping Your Structures and Identifying Organic Leadership

  • This training covers the organizing skills of power mapping, leadership identification, and charting your structure tests. Participants will learn these organizing skills that have supported strike readiness historically and have the ability to apply them to their own context.

Storytelling and Effective Communication

  • This training is for anyone that wants to deepen their movement storytelling and communication skills. Participants will learn why storytelling is important to organizing, how to tell stories, and have opportunities to practice themselves. This training will also cover other components of effective communication when talking to others about strike readiness.

Organizing 1:1s

  • This training is for anyone that wants to learn how to effectively have an 1:1 organizing conversation. This training defines 1:1s, how to have them, and offers practice space. This training will provide opportunities to think through strategic outreach and who to prioritize for 1:1s in your local context.

Strategic Direct Action and Visual Strategy

  • This training is for anyone who wants to plan effective and visually powerful direct actions. This training will cover the foundations of action planning, building effective action teams and roles, and visual storytelling. Participants will learn from past direct actions and have opportunities to vision taking strategic action in their own contexts.

Each training and practice lab call will be 90 minutes. These labs will be offered biweekly between each training. This is a structured space for hands-on practice and planning for bringing the skills learned to your context.
